Recipe :: Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

A little bit spicy, a little bit sweet, a little bit rock-and-roll.
Goes great on spicy cayenne chocolate cupcakes and chocolate carrot and beet cupcakes.

Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 pinchs of salt 
  • Beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light & creamy.
  • Beat in cinnamon, vanilla & salt until combined.
  • If the icing gets all caught up in the mixer beaters, add more vanilla a splash at a time to draw it out.
  • Taste icing & add more cinnamon to taste.
